Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions
Season Dates

The first day of this season will take place on March 2nd, 2023. The league will last for 8 weeks (7 regular season weeks and 1 playoff week) on every Thursday. Matches will occur between 5pm ET through 3am ET. You will not be required to play every week if you are selected to a roster.

League Format
  • Each streamer gets a team of 10 players + themselves (11 total players).
  • Each week, the streamer will choose a lineup to use for that week (4 players, average rating cannot exceed 1500 (chess.com blitz). Can include streamer.
  • Any player below 600 will count as 600 towards the average rating
  • Board 4 cannot be more than 1000 points lower rated than board 3.
  • One match a week at a scheduled time. Games will start automatically at the times every half hour (ex. 5pm match will have round 1 at 5:00, round 2 at 5:30, round 3 at 6:00, round 4 at 6:30, and games should be automatically started)
  • Each player plays 4 games: 1 game vs each opponent on the other team, 10|1 time control games.
  • Season will be 7 weeks long with 1 week of playoffs. Top 4 teams make it to the playoffs. If multiple teams are tied for 4th place, overall match points will be the tiebreaker.
  • Two matches will be played back to back in the playoff week (winning teams of semi finals will play the finals match on the same day)
Prize Funds
  • There are many amazing people out there who are willing to donate to streamers thanks to the content that those streamers provide. My plan is that the communities can donate whatever amount they please towards the prize funds, and that will be used as the total league prize funds.
  • My community has already generously offered to provide $500 towards the prize pool.

  • 5th-10th: 6%

  • 1 free agent pickup once per week (if your top players can’t play for example, then this will allow teams to field a competitive lineup)
